Goals from Kerr, England, and Cuthbert Seal Commanding Victory

Chelsea Women have cemented their position at the summit of the Barclays Women's Super League with a resounding 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur Women at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea started strongly and took the lead through a well-taken goal from Sam Kerr in the 15th minute. The Australian forward slotted home from close range after being set up by Jessie Fleming.

Chelsea continued to dominate the game and doubled their advantage ten minutes later when Niamh Charles' surging run down the left resulted in a cross for Fran Kirby, who unselfishly laid the ball back for Millie Bright to fire home.

Tottenham had a chance to pull one back just before half-time, but Ashleigh Neville's header went wide. Chelsea continued to push forward and got their third goal in the 70th minute when Cuthbert headed home a corner from Kirby.

The victory takes Chelsea three points clear of second-placed Manchester United Women, who they face next Sunday in a top-of-the-table clash. Tottenham remain seventh in the standings.
