Gavin Williams put together another dominant outing, throwing 7 sharp innings while allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits in the Guardians 4-2 victory over the slumping Royals on Saturday.
The Royals have now lost 9 of their last 10 games and have fallen below .500 at 27-28.
Meanwhile, the Guardians have won 5 straight and are now 30-24 this season.
Williams improved to 3-0 on the season, while Royals starter Kris Bubic fell to 0-5 after allowing 4 runs on 8 hits in 4.1 innings of work.
The Guardians offense was led by Jose Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
